Vets care for animals. They diagnose and treat any kind of animal. They work to improve public health for pets. Vets may also preform surgery on animals if necessary. as well as test for and vaccinate against diseases. Some examples of vets are, Companion animal veterinarian, Food animal Veterinarian, research veterinarian. Some veterinarians may become post secondary teachers at colleges and universities.
