Alaska is a very awesome place in my opinion. It contains more than 100 volcanoes and volcanic fields. It has more than 34,000 miles of coastline, and has more inland water than any other states at 20.171 square miles.Alaska is also the biggest state in the U.S. with 591,004 square miles. One of the best thing in my opinion are the aurora borealis or the northern.lights. They can be seen an average of 243 days a year. These northern lights are produced by charged electrons and protons striking the earths upper atmosphere.  Alaska is home to 3.5 million lakes! 16,000 square miles are covered in glacier ice. Temperatures in the summer reach 80f and -60f in the winter. Some of the many animals that live in Alaska are Bears, Wolves, Moose, and caribou. It has one of the smallest endangered species list of any state. These species are the Eskimo curlew, Humpback whale, Bow head whale, Blue whale and the short tailed Albatross. The reason i chose this state is because i love the winter and the cold and in Alaska it is cold. I also really like nature and living in Alaska would mean living around nature. As a kid me and my family would always go to the river or the snow every year and i would like to keep doing that as i get older. I would like to live somewhere were there is a lot

of river and snow. Last of all i think Alaska is a beautiful state.Another reason i chose Alaska is because winter/snow is known by some people as the time for Subaru and i plan on getting one therefore i would love to drive one in the snow.
