What this quote means is that cheating is not the way to victory. Sure it will get you there but that doesn't mean you have won. Cheating is a bad way of winning. If you do it constantly eventually there will be no one else to cheat on. This is because no one will want to go against you. Not because they are scared of you but because they know you will cheat. If you win fair and square, then people won't mind going against you. The win will be well deserved .An example is if you are racing, you all have the same car. However someone shows up on a motorcycle. The guy that did not bring the same car and bought a motorcycle instead will win because he will be faster. After everyone will know he cheats and no one will want to race him.

                  What this quote means is that nothing is more important than character. Without character you are nothing. However with a character you can be something, but it may be bad or maybe good. It all depends on what character you have. If you have a good character people will admire you. For example dale murphy had a good character and he was recognized very well. On the other hand cheaters don't have a good character. The have a horrible character.  People don't want to pay to see some cheaters play because they know who will win. People with bad characters are never good people. They are disliked people. People that others don't want to be seen around.
