What this quote means is that you have to believe in yourself to be able to do what you want. If you don't have confidence you won't be playing or working to your fullest. Sure you will be trying. However you won't be trying hard. You won't be going full speed, full effort. If you have confidence in yourself you will motivate yourself to try harder and harder every time you play. Doing so will make all the sweat and pain pay off. You won't remember all the pain you had to go through to get where you are. At first you won’t want to train day after day,but eventually you will start to realize that is all worth it. All the pain, the sweat, the screams to your face, it will all be worth it when you have a scholarship to play at a college. All you have to do is trust that you will make it.
