Astronauts don't just go to space and have fun like you think they would. They are up their working just like another person would work on earth. Pilot Astronauts can help the space shuttle or space station. He/she is responsible for operating the ship and deploying the use of satellites. The commander is responsible for the success of the mission. As well as the taking care of the crew,vehicle and the safety of the flight.

No i would like to be an Astronaut because i would be far from earth for a very long lime and i would enjoy that very much.
