Speech pathologist treat, diagnose, and help prevent communication and swallowing disorders. Swallowing and other disorders can result from many things like strokes, brain injury or autism and many more. They identify treatment options to help the patients. They teach patients how to make sounds and improve their voices. They may also help patients strengthen the muscle to be able to swallow.
